Thumbprint Cookies

Instructions

  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tbls. milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • sugar for rolling
Mix all. Roll into ball. Roll in sugar. Bake at 375 for 10 –12 minutes. Push in a chocolate “star” or “kiss” while cookie is still warm. Makes 4 dozen.
