Cookies

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/3 c. powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 – 1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract

Frosting

  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 – 1 tsp. almond extract
  • little cherry juice
Cream butter. Gradually beat in sugar. Add cornstarch, flour and vanilla. Beat well. Form into 36 small irregular heaps on a buttered cookie sheet. Chill on hour. Bake at 350 for about 8 minutes. Cookies should be light brown on the bottom. Cool.

Mix powdered sugar, almond extract and cherry juice. Frost.
