Easy Breakfast Casserole

  • 1 lb ground pork sausage
  • 6 slices white bread cut into cubes
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Optional:
  • 6 scallions
  • sliced mushrooms
  • chopped tomatoes
  • swiss cheese
  • anything you like
Preheat oven to 350.

Crumble sausage into a medium skillet. Cook over medium heat until evenly brown; drain.

Layer bread, sausage, and cheese in a greased 7 x 11 baking dish.

Beat eggs, milk, salt and mustard powder and pour over cubed bread.

Cover and chill in refrigerator for 8 hours, or overnight. Remove from refrigerator 1/2 hour before baking.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 50 - 60 minutes or until knife comes out clean in cnter. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Refrigerate after serving. Will last for a few days.
