Spaghetti With Meat Sauce

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 – 15 oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 2 – 12 oz. cans tomato paste
  • 3 c. water
  • 2 envelopes (1 1/2 oz) Italian spaghetti sauce mix with mushrooms
  • 1 bay leaf, crumbled
  • 1 tsp. oregano leaves
  • 1 tbls. sugar
  • 16 oz. spaghetti
Cook and stir ground beef and onion until meat is brown and onion just tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except spaghetti and cheese. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring sauce occasionally
