Whipping Cream

  • 1 tsp. Knox gelatin
  • 1 tbls. water
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 2 tbls powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla or any flavoring
Soften gelatin water for 5 minutes. Heat gently until gelatin melts. Add to whipping cream, whisking so gelatin and cream are well combined but not whipped. Chill at least one hour. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Whip with mixer until cream is very thick and holds its shape. Cream will thicken further upon refrigeration. This whipped cream holds for several hours.
