- 3 egg whites
- 1 c. sugar
- 16 saltine crackers
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream frozen
- strawberries, 2 – 10 oz pkgs. or fresh, sweetened with sugar
| Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar 1/4 c. at a time, beating after each addition. Beat until glossy and full. Add vanilla and baking powder. Crush crackers with a rolling pin. Fold into egg whites. Fold in walnuts. Pour into a greased 9 inch pie pan or a greased 9 x 9 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Cool. Top with vanilla ice cream and strawberries. |
